Glastonbury is only next month and despite the poster being released , we are wondering who else is going to be there.
Glastonbury’s secret set is renowned for the huge names who surprise the festival goers. In 2017 we saw this year’s headliners The Killers play the John Peel stage and Elbow take to the park stage.
There have been a number of huge hidden sets over the years played on smaller stages than the artist is used to.
Lady Gaga played to a small crowd of 400 at Club Dada in the early mornings following her pyramid stage Debut. One to brag about if you were there in 2009.
One of the best but worth kept secrets was Pulp in 2011. The reformed iconic band took to The Park stage to what looked to be the whole of Glastonbury.
Fans were turned away due to fears of safety.
Last Shadow Puppets, Mumford and Sons, Radiohead and more have been the well talked about hidden surprises Glastonbury have had in store for us over the years.
So, who will be there in secret in 2019?
* The 1975
Matt Healy and his indie pop band have rose to the top this year following their 3rd album release A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. I was suprised by their absence on the lineup. Jamie Osborne (member) also replied to a tweet claiming they should play the secret set.
* Miley Cyrus
Though the American is already playing main stage on Sunday, she told the world she’ll be sticking around for the whole festival. We wouldn’t be surprised if she did a Lady Gaga and played a small intimate gig somewhere.
* Bros
The English brothers have put themselves back into the limelight after a number of years following their famous recent documentary. They have been playing a number of big gigs and it wouldn’t surprise us if their at worthy farm.
* Lady Gaga and/or Bradley Cooper
The duo have become iconic and it’s begun circulating that actor Bradley Cooper may be making an appearance. Who better to bring with him than Lady Gaga?
* Kings Of Leon
The band has played a number of festivals over the years but have not been to worthy farm for a while now. Is it their long waited return?
*The Strokes
ut wouldn’t be the biggest shock of Indie band The Strokes put on another performance at Glastonbury. They have just released new music.
