So, what do we know about the final 8?

* Che Lingo

Che, a south London lad may be our new hip-hop artist. He brings together new and fresh music combining hip-hop, grime, jazz and more; and we are loving it. He started out by playing youth clubs in his local area and has grown on this ever since. Our favourite song for you to check out is ‘Black Girl Magic’

* Swimming Girls

UK band Swimming Girls have made a big name for themselves in the past year, even getting the chance to support Pale Waves on their U.K. and Ireland tour. They are a great indie-pop band and have big things coming for them this year. Our favourite song is ‘Back Of Your Car’.

* iiola

Singer-songwriter iiola has caught our interest with her catchy music. She created her own record label ‘Lovejoy records’ and is one our independent artists. She has a big YouTube and social media following and her hit single ‘Chrysalis’ feature on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’. Our favourite is ‘Chewing Gum’

* Shunaji

Shunaji, known as SHU 4SHO on twitter is a London based singer and producer. She was born in Lagos and her sound is hard to describe but something new and exciting. It is a mix of 90s, Jazz and Hip-Hop . She won the Roundhouse Resident Artist in 2018 and 2019 is shaping up to be a good year for her with her ‘Blue Melon’ Ep coming later this month. Our favourite song is ‘Girls’ from her Debut EP

* LIINES

Manchester alternative/indie band are the ones to watch. The band have a big summer of festivals planned including Kendall Calling and hope to add Glastonbury to their list. They are currently touring with Sleaford Mods and their debut album is worth a listen. Our favourite song is ‘Be Here’.

* Roma Palace

The Brighton band are a band who describe themselves as a band who have a passion for music “that makes you wanna move” and they are not wrong! The 3 best mates and their catchy indie music will be vastly welcomed into the music industry and we cannot wait to hear them at the end of April. Our favourite song is ‘Tell Me’.

* Marie White

Singer song-writer Marie, is making a name for herself with her powerful Ballard voice and her guitar. At only 22 she has an amazing voice. Hastings girl has turned down Record deals to pursue her own voice and own sound. The Ballard singer is the female Ed Sheeran and we are loving it. Our favourite song is ‘I Want To Know You’.

* Yamaya

Brighton based band are hard to find on social media with not even Glastonbury tagging them. However, the band whole heartedly deserve to be there. Their Afrobeat and reggae sound is a great listen. The band is made up of lead vocalist Khadim Sarr and members of established bands, they are a big group! We love their sound and cannot wait to hear more on 27th of this month.

Good luck to all and keep doing what your doing!
