Our favourite releases from 2019 so far..

Our favourite new releases from 2019.

We are almost 4 months into 2019 (where has that time gone?), and we’re going to look back on our favourite releases so far this year. Ranging from Ariana Grande to Catfish and the Bottlemen.

We knew this year would be a big year for music from day one and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us. But we got let’s take a look back at our favourite singles so far this year.

* Ariana Grande - 7 Rings

Grande releases her new album ‘Thank u, next’ very early this year with our favourite being her RnB style song “7 Rings”. Showcasing the lifestyle of the rich and famous and we are loving it!

* Catfish and the Bottlemen - Fluctuate

The welsh band are soon to be releasing their 3rd album at the end of next month but have treated us to 3 Catfish style singles with Fluctuate being our favourite.

* Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved

Comedian and Scot Lewis Capaldi has made a name for himself in the music industry very quickly. This is not only due to his hilarious social media presence but also his Number 1 single Someone You Loved, with the music video featuring distance relative Peter Capaldi.

* Bruno Mars ft Cardi B - Please Me

Bruno Mars has graced us with another funky up beat song and we can’t get enough. Featuring female rap Artist Cardi B, we have it on repeat.

* Billie Eilish - Bury a Friend

The 17 year old, has recently released her debut album and her records are soaring. Compared to Kurt Cobain, the pop singer has already gained herself a strong fan base at such a young age. She is playing British Festivals Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds this year.

* Hoizer - Almost (Sweet Music)

Irish Musician Andrew Hozier-Byrne has released a new album in 2019, Wasteland Baby! His first album since his self titled album in 2014.

* Lana Del Rey - Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Women Like Me To Have But I Have it’

American singer and songwriter Elizabeth Grant released to us new music early January, and we have not heard a peep since. The singer is releasing a poetry book priced a $1 so we expect her album to follow this. Despite this long wait we have her single on repeat!

* Vampire Weekend - Sunflower. After a long awaited return, Vampire Weekend have given us 3 singles which we are loving. Sunflower, Harmony Hall and Big blue. The band is set to play Glastonbury this year.

* Foals - Sunday

Early 2000s indie-rock band Foals have given us what I would say is the best album of 2019 so far. The Oxford born band released 3 singles prior to the album with Sunday being our favourite with its quirky beats, changes and lyrics.

* The National - You Had Your Soul With You

‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’ Rock Band are still going strong after almost 20 years in the industry. Their new single was released March the 3rd alongside a long list of tour dates. We do not currently have a date for album release.
