2019 Y Not? Festival!

Updated: Feb 7, 2019

‘Y Not? Festival’ 2019 recently revealed its big Indie lineup for this summer. ‘Elbow’, ‘Two Door Cinema Club’ and ‘Foals’ are all set to headline the Derbyshire Festival in late July.

Recently announcing a two-part album coming this year, ‘Everything not Saved Will be Lost’, the Oxford band are in for a big year. Headlining multiple festivals including Boardmasters and Truck Festival as well as UK Tour, including the London Alexandra Palace, in June. The Bands tour does not overlap with Glastonbury, sparking speculation.

The Festival follows last year’s success of ‘The Libertines’, ‘Catfish And The Bottlemen’ and ‘Jamiroqual’, ‘Y Not? Festival’ sticks to its Indie appeal again.

Joining the headliners are 2000 indie band ‘Franz Ferdinand’ as well as Mercury Prize winners ‘Wolf Alice’. ‘You Me At Six’, ‘Miles Kane’, ‘Happy Mondays’ all feature high on the lineup to no surprise. The Summer is shaping up to be a big one for UK festivals with ‘Foals’ and ‘Wolf Alice’ featuring on many lineups. Keep your eyes peeled as to who is around at the moment and may be on their way to Worthy Farm at the end of June

‘

Y Not? Festival’ however does greatly echo that of this years ‘Truck Festival’. The Oxfordshire and Derbyshire Festivals are both scheduled over the final weekend of July and owned by company ‘Broadwick Live’ since 2016. ‘Truck Festival’ only sees a main difference of no ‘Elbow’ and iconic duo ‘Slaves’ and ‘Nothing But Thieves’

‘Y Not? Festival’ sees tickets currently on sale in Tier 3 for a just under £130 plus booking fee and shipping. A moderate prices against the likes of Reading and Leeds at over £220 a ticket.

Keep eyes peeled for more to be announced.
