Glastonbury 2019 Speculation

Glastonbury 2019 is set to take place 26th - 30th of June, the usual Glasto slot.

2018 saw a fallow year for the Worthy Farm festival, giving the field a rest ready for almost 200,000 to arrive in 2019.

However 2017 saw the festivals success featuring some of the biggest names in music. ‘Radiohead’, ‘F

oo Fighters’ and ‘Ed Sheeran’ took to the famous pyramid stage with ‘The Killers’ and ‘Elbow’ also getting their chance to play in secret sets.

The excitement and speculation for what Emily and Micheal Eavis have in store for us has already begun.

‘Stormzy’ has already been announced as Fridays headliner through an unconventional way of posters in Oxfam stores, Glastonbury’s official charity.

The famous ‘Kylie Minogue’ has been granted the ‘Sunday Legends slot’ which in years prior has seen the likes of ‘Dolly Parton’ and ‘Barry Gibb’.

The bookies have currently slashed the odds for ‘The Killers’ to headline either Saturday or Sunday night after their 2017 secret set and headlining Isle of Wight in 2018. ‘The Cure’ are also rumoured after being announced to headline a few European Festivals such as ‘Flow Festival’ in Finland.

‘Paul McCartney’ is a bookies favourite. He released a solo album in September and may be making a come back to the pyramid stage after 15 years. However, a U.S tour has Paul booked in abroad over the weekend of Glastonbury. Though as ‘The Killers’ proved in 2017 being in another country doesn’t stop a journey to the U.K. for Glasto.

‘Arctic Monkeys’, ‘Abba’ and ‘Sterephonics’ are also all rumoured. All having played iconic shows at Glastonbury before it brings us to question is their waited return going to be 2019?

‘Stone Roses’, ‘Kendrick Lamar’ and ‘Elton John’ are all on the bookies list at the moment. ‘The Strokes’ set to headline All Points East over May bank holiday weekend is another one to keep in mind.

The Pilton Farm lineup is usually due around March or even April. It follows the limited resale of tickets for those who did not get lucky first time. Keep an eye on the bookies favourites to keep up to date with who may be making a trip to Worthy Farm for 2019 Glastonbury Festival.
